Woro2k: "First we need to believe and after that you can do everything"

"I already said everything a year ago," the Ukrainian AWPer commented about his online spat with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev.
Monte have put on an incredible performance at the BLAST.tv Major's Legends Stage, securing a spot at the playoffs with a commanding 2-0 victory over one of the favorites at the tournament, Natus Vincere, in the Swiss group's 2-1 pool.

We spoke to Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk, who gave a short and to the point interview, after the big victory in the Ukrainian derby. Both confidence and self-belief are high in the Monte camp right now following the playoff qualification, as told by the 21-year-old. "I think we can even win this Major," he said.

Tell me about playing the Ukrainian derby, at least as far as having three Ukrainian players [on each team] and two Ukrainian orgs. What was it like heading into the match?
we just said to ourselves that if we start to beat them they will have no chance to come back because they have low mentality Volodymyr "Woro2k" VeletniukFor us it was not important, we knew we had to win to get to playoffs and first we focused on this. We played with confidence, a normal match, and that's it. Maybe a bit more confidence and that's it.
It was 16-12 in the first map and a blowout on the second, did you expect that it would be that easy for you guys to close it out?
Yes, we just said to ourselves that if we start to beat them they will have no chance to come back because they have low mentality. Maybe it's true, maybe not, but I think they have something like that. We played our best, we started playing well from the start, and it was already hard for them to get back.
You're playing with sdy, who used to play for NAVI. Was there any insight or some tips he had for the team?
Yeah, he had some. Overall, how they play, they can't fake, default things.
How was it for you. You have admired s1mple, but there was some conflict after playing a showmatch together. He said you wouldn't play well at big tournaments. Now you made it here and beat him. What does that mean for you, personally?
I'm feeling very good, I don't need to say anything. I already said everything one year ago, the time has come.
And you said something on the server as well, eh?
I think we can even win this Major Volodymyr "Woro2k" VeletniukYes.
You went 3-1, you're through the Legends Stage, you did so in style beating NAVI, one of the big teams here. What's the atmosphere in the team, how are you excited are you at getting to play on the stage here in Paris?
The atmosphere is so insane, I think we're ready for the stage. Yes, maybe it's the first time for four players on stage, but I think if we keep our confidence, our mood, it'll be the same as here. I think we can even win this Major, some teams are very, very good, but we'll try our best to beat them.
As you say, it'll be the first time for many of the players on the team. Do you have any idea how you'll prepare for it mentally?
No idea yet, only confidence. First we need to believe and after that you can do everything.
